Topographic surveys locate all surface features of a propertyand depicts its natural features and elevations in 3 dimensions. That data is used to generate design files, triangle files, and digital terrain models. This information can be collected conventionally with robotic total stations and data collectors or via real-time kinematic GPS surveys. With decades of staff experience and state of the art equipment, Lexis is capable of both means of data collection.

Lexis regularly provides survey results that adhere to specific CADD standards required by various public agencies and can be input into a GIS format. Lexis uses Trimble R12 GPS Units, Sokkia CX52 Total Station, Sokkia Level, Trimble TSC3 and Sokkia SDR33 Data Collectors. We also use Network GPS or Infield Technology, which allows for all our GPS receivers to act as rovers and collect topographic information, saving both time and cost. Our topographic surveying experience includes both vertical and horizontal (i.e., transportation) markets so our data can be used to support infrastructure, residential, commercial and institutional clients.
